You can retreat, partnering with God to receive the healing you’ve been longing for.
You’ve tried it all.
Prayer, Bible studies, deliverance Reading multiple self-help books Going to therapy Seeing doctors All while trying to work, parent, or care for others And healing still feels out of reach.
It’s time to get unstuck.
Unstuck EMDR Intensive
Three days of therapy (Wed-Fri) dedicated to transform your outlook on life.
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is an evidence-based approach that helps you align how you feel and how your body feels with what you know to be true about God and yourself.
Getting away to your own personal therapy retreat frees your brain to focus completely on your healing. We will not only focus on the past, but will work together to laser in on what is most important to advance your healing in the present.
“I thought an intensive would be good for me because I was stuck. Sometimes in weekly sessions, you feel like you are just getting started and then you have to stop. With intensives, you can feel like you have accomplished something at the end of a day and certainly at the end of 2 to 3 days.
Carrie is really great to work with. I believe the work we have done has also increased my confidence.” -Amy from FL
Carrie Bock, LPC-MHSP
I focus on providing compassionate, evidenced-based, Holy Spirit driven therapy experiences.
With over 15 years of experience, I’ve helped many clients in 50 minute sessions. It can work, but it takes a long time to get people where they want to go. Meanwhile, life is happening every week, so getting distracted from the root issues of what you came in for in the first place is easy to do.
I have the experience to get you the results you want.
MA Counseling, Denver Seminary
Licensed Professional Counselor since 2009
EMDR Consultant since 2019
4 years of providing EMDR intensives
I’ve also learned many things at the high cost of suffering.
being a foster parent
divorce of my first marriage
the lonely season of singleness
remarriage
pregnancy complications
husband with a rare medical condition
caregiving while trying to self-care
I’ve made the decision to completely dedicate my individual therapy time to intensives because I believe they are best suited to the complex mental health and relationship challenges my clients are facing.

A deeper level of healing
when weekly therapy isn’t enough to get you the results you can’t live without
I needed to get away to concentrate on OCD.
Having time between each weekly therapy sessions to ruminate gives way for the OCD to actually get stronger. I knew I needed to do something drastically different to the show up once a week therapy and talk for an hour and OCD carries in spinning for the rest of the week. I needed to get away from life and just concentrate on OCD.
The intensive benefited me immensely. There was a lot to unpackage, and I had the time to do it. Going right back to childhood was helpful. It gave me the tools reach a personal goal, and I will forever be thankful for that. It is an experience/milestone I can always go back to.
What can we do in 3 days?
EMDR is a past, present, and future therapy. You don’t need to identify major trauma to benefit.
Invite God in
As much or as little as you feel comfortable
We can begin with mindfulness and prayer
We will work together on developing a resource to help with EMDR reprocessing.
It’s completely normal to be anxious the first day.
Assess the present
Identifying present triggers
We will look at specific present situations that you would like to respond to differently.
That way, we stay laser focused on the changes you want to make.
Clear past blocks
This is the secret sauce
We will find the memories (or ages) connected to the present triggers.
Find the core beliefs connected to these experiences.
The truth will set you free.
Expedite the process
EMDR does not require time in between sessions to be effective.
Powerful way to align mind, body, and heart
Mimics the body’s natural process that happens every night during REM sleep
Has years of research behind it
Plan for the future
A healthy wrap up time on the last day
We can practice how you would like to respond in the future.
You will leave with a follow up plan.
I’m happy to connect with a therapist you are already working with.
A strong assessment is important to make sure that you are a good fit for this type of Christian therapy retreat experience.
I will send you several questionaries to fill out that will help me get to know your present symptoms and challenges. Then, we will meet together virtually to discuss what you hope to get out of the intensive.
Most clients do really well with the structure and breaks. You’re probably going to be tired, especially the first day. However, most people describe the experience as relieving as they start to feel the weight of years of tension lift off them.
Yes! You do not have to reprocess with EMDR everything you have been through. We typically focus on targeting the first and worst memories. Your brain will start to generalize and other memories will become less distressful.
Yes! I’ve helped lots of people who felt like things from the past were affecting them even if they couldn’t quite put their finger on what it was. Sometimes, parts work integration can be particularly helpful here.
We can identify in the consultation what your struggles with EMDR have been in the past and talk about how to overcome those. I’ve had lots of training and consultation with EMDR working with thousands of clients since 2013. I’ve been able to help many people have a more positive experience with EMDR than they did initially.
If you are acutely suicidal, in active addiction, or suffering from a severe eating disorder, you would not be a good candidate for an intensive. If you are not aware of what you are feeling or disconnected from your body, it’s going to be very hard for you to engage in EMDR. We will assess for this during your consultation.
Yes, lots! My office is close to the interstate, so there are several hotels and just about any kind of food you could want in addition to grocery stores for anything you may have forgotten.
If there is an act of God that prevents meeting such as an ice/snow storm, hurricane, flood, or other dangerous weather condition in which roads become impassible, the intensive shall be rescheduled for a later date. The intensive will also be reschedule for serious illness.
Since I only provide two of these 3 day intensives a month, cancellation for any other reason requires at least 3 weeks notice.
